Meet the oldest female political appointee in Nigeria, she is just 118 years of age
The Vice Chairman of Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area in Bayelsa State has appointed Mrs Omonigbalebo Dani Orogono as Special Adviser to the Vice Chairman on Elder Matters.
This was conveyed in a letter addressed to the aged woman titled "Offer of Provisional Appointment" and signed by the Personal Assistant to the Vice Chairman of Kolokuma Local Government.
Mama Orogono whose profile is yet to be formally documented is reported to be over 118 years old.
The
Vice Chairman of the LGA, Brian Wotari has said that Mama Orogono's
appointment was effected and confirmed in an effort to show solidarity
with the aged people in the community
